Alice was the wife of Fred M. Hackleman. Fred and Alice appear to have vacationed quite a bit at Barbee Lakes as there are several postcards in the collection over the years from there. The Barbee Lakes are located in Kosciusko County, Indiana, in the northern part of the state. Yellow Creek Lake is located in Elkhart County.

Come to think of it, there is SO much of Indiana that I never explored. I saw only Kentland, Lafayette, and Bloomington. Then I made my escape to Boston! 🙂
I have friends who have a house on Lake Webster. It looks quite different now 🙂
LOL…I am sure it does! I bet you don’t see women in long skirts and corsets riding boats!
