Willard was the oldest son of Huston Hackleman. Born in 1907, his mother Elizabeth “Bessie” (Miller) Hackleman died soon after his birth.

“Says [?] in the may at the store” I think it reads “Says I am in the way at the store”
Something doesn’t add up here. This card is dated 1910. Willard was born in the 1907? He could not have written this card at three years old. Am I missing something?
I think the card was written by an adult as if they were Willard, a very cute literary technique used by many parents over the centuries….
