Dear Grandma,
Wish you were here on my birthday. Papa gave me $10 and mama made me a nice large kite, a baseball suit, a wading suit, candy, and a birthday cake with ice cream. I flew my kite all after noon & had a lot of fun –

I wonder if Willard is older now. The reference to flying the kite all afternoon might be a clue.
Unusual card…made in Germany. The artist might have had Van Gogh in mind.
