Addressed to:

Dear Lena:
Am just getting up from worst illness I’ve had in years. 2 week critically ill, now creep about house when not laying down – Still taking my medicine – glad to have your letter. Frank is about [?]ke Mr. H. with Love

John and Lena Hackleman lived at 923 Fayette Street in Connersville for several years. In 1935, there was a fire in the house. I do not know if the house was salvageable. Regardless, the street is no longer residential as the photograph from Google street view shows.
