Friday’s Faces From the Past – Shop Entrance

Yegerlehner, John - 1930s

During the 1930s, Gladys took a beauty course to help support Roscoe’s education and medical school. She learned how to cut hair and do nails, etc. Could John possibly be playing outside Gladys’ shop? Was the shop located in the back of their house? And does this look like the same tricycle from the earlier post Unknown girl with baby?

I’ve never seen this photo before. That must have been mother’s shop…with the sign on the door. So she did nails too. She always ridiculed nail clippers. She believed that nail files were the only way to do it.

I don’t think it’s the same tricycle. The handlebars of the tricycle the girl is sitting on have a bell.
