….but she is still listed here as a Schwartz. Doesn’t this sort of thing make your task harder? On the 1914 list she will be listed an an Edward, with no explanation of why she disappeared as a Schwartz?
Sometimes the directories listed the wife’s name in the husband’s listing, but some didn’t. It depends on the city and the year of publication. If the woman didn’t have a job outside the home, she was less likely to be listed.
