Dr. Henry A. Schwarz, just from Tuscarawas county, Ohio, is visiting his brother, W. B. Schwartz, and has concluded to locate here in the practice of medicine, instead of going farther west to find a location. THE DEMOCRAT extends a hearty welcome.

I wonder if my father ever knew about Dr. Schwartz.
I don’t know. Dr.Schwartz moved back to Ohio before Roscoe was born. I don’t know how often that generation visited one another. Roscoe’s grandmother Elizabeth lived until 1922, and there appears to be evidence of visiting amongst the siblings (W. B., Henry, Sevilla, Elizabeth, etc). In fact, one of Lovina’s sisters married a grandson of Dr. Christian H. Schwartz, another of the siblings. A very intermingled family! 🙂
How quaint and personal the news was… I wish it could be like that again.
In a way, it was their version of Facebook. 🙂
