Wordless Wednesday – Family Reunion
Genealogy Lady 
The owner I met–after the one who had painted the tiles–told me that she had gotten estimates for getting the paint removed. The cost was prohibitive because the slate was so porous.
That house was such a gem. New owners painted the gorgeous Italian slate (fireplace) WHITE. Such a desecration.
I wonder where all the young ones are today.
Wow. It is hard to imagine those tiles painted white.
