SCHWARTZ IS RELEASED
William B. Schwartz, who pleaded guilty to counterfeiting and was sentenced to the Federal prison in 1906 was released Christmas day. His sentence, which had been shortened by good behavior, expired then. Schwartz expects to travel around the country on legal business in the behalf of some of the prisoners at the prison, and will visit his brother on Kelly’s Island in Lake Erie for some time. He expects to return to Indianapolis.

There’s gotta be a novel here somewhere!
This is cool: “Schwartz expects to travel around the country on legal business in the behalf of some of the prisoners at the prison…” Probably not very profitable, but maybe brought in some cash.
You might want to hold out on that opinion. 😉
Hooray!
And now it gets interesting…. 😉
Oh boy! I can’t wait because it was definitely interesting before!!
It is mostly interesting because some of the upcoming NARA documents present a twist to the story, but I don’t know how to discover whether or not they were true or what happened as a result.
