Since we have to take what comfort we can find, I thought you might appreciate the enclosed clipping from last Saturday’s Chicago Tribune “Report from Washington.”
I saw your mother this morning and she is pleased with your progress at I. U.

Genealogy Lady 
We were such enthusiastic Republicans, so we were all devastated by Nixon’s loss to Kennedy. Of course, only much later would be come to appreciate what a flawed character Nixon was. It was nice of Mrs. Myers to send me that clipping, which credits Nixon with more decency that he deserves.
